When you first meet these two you probably won't quite see what you are getting yourself into. They are pleasant people, don't get me wrong. Alison may seem a tad shy, Pheong a bit on the quiet side. Not. Not even close. They are funny, great sports and really know how to have a good time. This was quite the party.

They are both people- people and it really shows. Their friends absolutely adore them. Everyone wanted to have their photos with them and everyone stayed throughout, young and old tearing it up on the dance floor. (We had some very impressive break dancing going on with the kids, I would have wound up in traction had I attempted ANY of that!) The toasts were full of admiration for them as individuals and for them as a couple. I got the distinct impression that this was a union well blessed by the people who mattered most in their lives.

The wedding was very relaxed. Likely because the bride was very relaxed. It was quite clear that the entire focus was each other and family and I don't think Alison would have stressed out over anything. The cake could have been MIA, the flowers wilted, her dress soiled, and none of that would have mattered to her. She was there to marry the man she loves, surrounded by friends and family and that was that. Consequently she truly enjoyed her day to the fullest which was wonderful to be a part of.

The love that everyone had for them and they obviously had for everyone there was touching (her sister made even me cry) But I think the thing that touched me the most was the relationship between the groom and his sister. Apparently, and sadly, they grew up with only each other and the bond was obvious and tremendous. I remember hoping that my sons would feel that way about each other throughout their lives. It was a great wedding.
