I think if you are having a boy and chose to name him something other than Collin or Brandon (no prejudice here, mere coincidence that my children have those names), you should name him Juan Carlos. I think if you name your son Juan Carlos, you can be pretty confident that he will grow up to be a fun loving and great guy with a wicked sense of humor. I have had a few Juan Carloses in my career and across the board, they were great people. This wedding had two of them - one as the groom and one as a groomsmen. Suffice to say the day was anything but boring. Peggy, however, is not to be outdone in the personality department. As a matter of fact, now that I'm reflecting back on it, the entire wedding party was a good time. Lots of fun and clearly all about this union happening. As they should be - Peggy and Carlos were meant to be together. Being around them just made you feel good. They match. Its like there is some constant hidden communication going on between them all the time. They might say something to you, but you cannot help but get the distinct feeling that while you heard one thing, they heard much more. I'm not explaining this very well, but you get the idea. These are two peas in a pod. The wedding was beautiful. I knew it would be emotional, just because of how excited they both were, if nothing else. (Well, that and the whole loving each other so much part - lets not forget that part). Carlos wasn't nervous at all, or so he told me, however him obsessively cruising the chairs to cut off any errant thread from the ribbons for an HOUR prior to the wedding told me otherwise. Quite the comedic little scene, actually. Groom Carlos with the scissors while Groomsman Carlos stood there with his arms folded alternately asking him what he was doing, while pointing out more threads - just messing with him BAD. Meanwhile, Peggy was happily getting ready alternately having her hair pulled (sorry Peggy, but that is the funniest photo) and being fed french fries. I knew that she wasn't nervous and I have no idea why she kept running and hiding behind the curtains when there was a knock on the door. No clue. It was such a lot of fun and it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding. (Thanks you guys.) Oh, and please, when you view the slide show, take a moment to admire the shot of the wedding chairs and please not the absolute lack of any stray threads on the ribbons. Nicely done, I thought! |
